The service was very slow. We had to wait over five minutes for our waitress to take our order. The food took a long time to come out. Our waitress was having very long conversations with the table behind us and kept us waiting for at least ten minutes to return our charge card. I think the waitress were friends with these people. On top of the poor service, the food was at best average. Many years ago, we frequented Gene's but the place has really gone downhill. If another Groupon became available, we will not be purchasing one. Our new favorite casual seafood restaurant is St. Mary's Seafood. The food is fresh and the service is friendly and efficient.

Service was slow considering there were very few people eating there; food took a long time to arrive and it took 13 minutes from the time we handed over our Groupon until the final bill was signed! The food however was plentiful, delicious, and came out piping hot. We will give it another try to see if our experience is better; it's worth it.

The server was great but you could not use Groupon on a lot of different items on the menu we bought a platter for two and then we had to buy another item so we could use the Groupon our original bill was $48 and we left hungry I went for the salmon special but you can't use Groupon for the special
