Great little zoo. Loved the bird building. Too bad there was only one restaurant open though off season I know but would still like other options and less of a crowd.

I think this is a very nice zoo, and is worth supporting. That said. They purposefully do not mention online if animals will not be available to view. This was confirmed for my by an employee at the zoo itself. Bummer. I also have an issue with the primate area. Too Small

They oversold! We arrived and was told that there would be a 2 hour wait. But the zoo was closing in 2 hours! Essentially we bought tickets and were not able to attend. We ended up going in, walked around a dark zoo. No animals were visible. Nothing was open other than the 2 hour line event. Then just left. Waste of time and money.

The actors and puppeteers were excellent at their craft. They captivated young and old with their expressiveness, humor, and creativity. We laughed, imagined and played while on our 20-25 min. journey through Lord Midnight's Zoo. I was thankful for the warm night we attended because the wait was longer than hoped (but we went Sat. 10/29). Upbeat staff, live music, and food eased our wait.

From Our Editors

Thanks to Franklin Park Zoo, little patches of wilderness from Africa, South America, Australia, and other parts of the world now dot Massachusetts. Tigers display their exotic stripes in the Tiger Tales exhibit where guests are educated on the perils these animals face in their natural habitats. Inside the Tropical Forest signature pavilion discover gorillas, ring-tailed lemurs, or giant anteater, free-flight birds and more. Don't miss our new Children's Zoo where families will discover, explore and play side-by-side with animals! A portion of every admission goes to the organization's conservation efforts, which supports projects both locally and globally. For would-be zookeepers, Franklin Park Zoo hosts various adult and kids' educational programs, and lets volunteers help in the care of zoo plants and animals.
