Riverside Cigars, Jeffersonville

"I can think of no better way to spend a Saturday night," wrote Maggie Kimberl of Louisville Magazine when she gave Jeffersonville's Match Cigar Bar the top spot on her 2013 list of "Ten Best Bourbon Bars in Kentuckiana." Though it was a good three and a half years before the second location of Match Cigar would open its doors, her review boded well for good things to come in New Albany.

Opened in early June of 2017, Match Cigar Bar on East Main Street serves cigars, bourbons, and beers in an ambiance of Southern comfort. Jazz tunes croon from vinyl records, and the smell of leather mixes with the aromas of tobacco blends from Alec Bradley, La Palina, La Sirena, and more. Setting itself apart from many cigar lounges, the establishment also incorporates gastropub-style food into the menu, serving specialty burgers and spicy chicken sandwiches alongside fine wines and cocktails.
