Shannon Roberts, owner of DreamKeepers Photography, makes time stand still during both indoor and outdoor photo shoots. Inside her studio, she clusters families and couples in front of white, black, and beige backdrops for simple yet sophisticated portraits. Outside, she harnesses natural light as her subjects sprawl in grassy fields and or huddle in front of flowing fountains. She specializes in snapping adorable still-frames of kids wearing their best duds before they grow up and repurpose their sweater vests as beer koozies. During weddings, Shannon takes posed and candid shots of celebrating guests before enhancing them with digital effects, such as blurred edges and spot-color techniques. More than anything, she loves toting her green-screen to parties, where she relishes capturing subjects in front of backgrounds such as Hollywood runways, rose-adorned pillars, and swirling vector graphics. In addition to snatching smiles from the mists of time, Shannon has volunteered her services to Tempered Steel, a nonprofit organization that raises awareness and support for injured veterans.
