Aesthetician and laser technician Aimee Fyvie works out of Letaya Salon & Spa, specializing in microdermabrasion and cold laser treatments, which aim to noninvasively beautify faces. Using jewel-tipped Abrastim machines, Fyvie buffs away dead skin and grime from faces with a sapphire head for microdermabrasion, and a diamond head for acne treatments. Alternatively, cold-laser treatments penetrate skin with light to speed up tissue repair and the production of collagen, which cannot be done by just shining a flashlight into the mirror. This process aims to neutralize epidermal imperfections such as acne and eczema.
