I had an unpleasant experience and write this review based on my experience. The people are not friendly, animals do not seem to be properly cared for and are overworked, and the culture of the environment is not culturally or racially aware or accepting. Lessons in equality and diversity is needed. I will not return. Again, this review is a reflection of my experience and perspective.

It was a surprise date for my love. Well enjoyed, people were kind, and the horse's we're kind and lovely. For a quick inexpensive date it was well worth it.

Wasn't very good. Went with 10 y/o son who had never been on horse. No one greeted us or gave any info on anything (who was taking us, where to wait, what to do). I had to ask all the questions and ask for names. 5 seconds of instruction given after waiting for 20 mins to saddle horses and get guide ready. Guide spent more time trying to control horse he never rode before. Scary, won't go back!

All in all...it was a great experience. The guide did not know that we were coming for a ride so we did have to wait about 30 minutes before we took off.

From Our Editors

Amy Lyons rescued her first horse, Star, from a life of neglect when she was only a sixth-grader. That devotion to horses never wavered—Amy now runs Valley View Riding Stables, a 250-acre farm with more than 30 horses. Even today, Amy will take in rescue horses and rehabilitate them on her farm.

Valley View hosts riding lessons for equestrians aged 3 and older. Students master skills such as Western riding, jumping, and dressage. In addition to lessons, visitors can stop by the equestrian center to buy horses, attend summer camps, and celebrate Halloween the right way—with ponies.
