Th best happy hour offerings!
Wonderful attentive service. I love this place!
Always been one of my favorite resto's. Great quality and service.
Carena was our server...wonderful experience!
The service was great. My only recommendation is to order one or two at a time. Having lived in Spain and enjoying tapas life style. The small plates were good for American small plates All in I will be returning and ordering at a slower pace
Yummy food, cozy atmosphere and it's located steps from the ocean in Laguna Beach!
Truffle mac and cheese; Thai calamari are two of my must haves every time we visit.
Awesome place! The food & service is incredible. I have neve been disappointed.
Coming back for happy hour as soon as possible!
The Receptionist was very rude. I called and asked if they took reservations. She said yes. I asked to make a res; she told me they were fully booked and I could walk in. When I arrived K'ya was half empty!
Even though it was half empty, the receptionist seated me next to the open kitchen door and bus boy station. I asked to be reseated; she gave me another undesirable spot. I got up and seated myself.
The experience with the Receptionist/Hostess was very upsetting and completely unnecessary. She needs to have an attitude adjustment and understand that every customer is important.
In fairness, everything else was excellent including the service from our server and the food was delicious.
In the end though, to add insult to injury, even though we were only a few days late past the promo date, the manager would not extend the deal.
When we left the restaurant was still half empty. Now I know why. So much for being fully booked.
From Our Editors
K'ya Bistro Bar is inspired by everything from Mediterranean tapas to San Francisco vibes to its beachside locale in the historical La Casa del Camino hotel. Award-winning chef Craig Connole—a vet of the Four Seasons and the Ritz Carlton—expertly integrates these influences, exemplified in dishes such as a spicy seafood chowder free of gluten and dairy. The beet salad is dressed with feta, white balsamic, and candied walnuts, and the grilled lamb is paired with apple-braised squash. These and the eatery's other small plates are meant to be shared with good friends or a favorite accountant.
And it would seem that it's hard to go wrong with any order at K'ya, at least according to Best of Laguna Beach. "Just close your eyes and point to anything on the menu. Whatever shows up will be some of the best tasting food you've ever had."
The drink list is as nuanced as the food, making room for both Californian wines and balsamic martinis. Patrons can enjoy these before their meals while cozying up to the fireplace in the lobby's lounge.
