Paulette at Salon Heavener, Laguna Hill

I had a Groupon for haircut services from Paulette. Her salon was easy to find in Irvine and she scheduled me for the time I requested. She was helpful in guiding me to the right haircut and has a good eye. And I like that she listened to what I was looking for in a haircut.

I just went in for a trim so I have no complaints on that end. My only disappointment was the lack of experience with curly hair. I had washed my hair and combed it during the morning in preparation for my appt in the afternoon. After she washed my hair at the salon, she made a comment about how my hair had knots and it was going to take a lot of time to brush. She sighed and was annoyed at me for my natural hair type. I told her curly hair is like that, once it dries curls start forming. So I ended up brushing my own hair while she did other stuff around the salon. I found that to be super unprofessional of her.

At first I was a little skeptical purchasing a groupon deal for a salon because I had never done it before. I was worried o wouldn't be able to schedule an appointment and my deal would expire. When I first tried to contact Paulette, it did take a while til I heard back from her. I called her a couple of times. But once I did, she was great! She had a pretty busy schedule with the holidays and also her upcoming surgery as well as my busy schedule. However she was extremely accommodating. She tried to fit me in on my only date open and also promised to get me out in time for my work meeting. She was very nice and easy to talk to and work with. My hair color, cut and split end treatment was great! My hair felt so soft, shiny and easy to manage. I also received a couple of great compliments as well. Will definitely see Paulette again!
