My husband and I were very underwhelmed with the food at the Island. The portions were large, but given the higher prices, we were expecting something a little more... gourmet. For example, throwing mixed greens on a plate does not count as "garnish". Time to get a little bit more creative. Also, the decor inside looked like something out of a cheap seaside motel. The server barely smiled, and the ladies restroom had broken glass and dead cockroaches on the floor when I went to use it. I'm hoping it's not related, but by the end of the meal, I was not feeling well, and I ended up getting diarrhea as soon as we got home. It was nice to try something new, but my husband and I will not be returning here, or recommending it to anyone else.

Chicken was raw, hair in the rice, and stuffed mushrooms were cold. Could have offered to take the chicken off the bill or a free desert. I understand the manager was cooking because the cook called out sick. I didn't even get an apology from manager
