Voodoo Tuna, Lakewood

Throwing convention and manners to the wayside, Voodoo Tuna Sushi Bar and Lounge actually encourages you to play with your food. After all, ordering the sushi roulette is sort of a game, wherein one of the six pieces of California roll is extra spicy, and requires the included shot of sake to cool off your palate. There's a sense of whimsy in a lot of other dishes, too, from pita "nachos" heaped with Maine lobster salad and thai chilies, to a barbecue-eel maki roll lined with sliced banana. Furthermore, any dish bearing the restaurant's namesake features a Cajun slant, as with Voodoo ramen with andouille sausage in a Cajun-miso broth. The drink list is similarly diverse in origins, bridging gaps from California merlot to Japanese soju.
