At the cash register, at the last minute, the staff said that none of the posted sale prices applied to my purchases because I was using a Groupon!!! To make this even worse, their attitide was condescending -- as if they were being ripped off by me because I had bought a Groupon and was now using it toward my purchase. Never again will I go to this business with my purchasing power.

My husband and I live near a very popular nursery and garden centre which is pricey in some items, so I bought your Groupons and went happily to try Cedar Rim Nursery. They have a very nice outdoor nursery, and the associates who answered our answers were very knowledgeable and very nice -- one lady in particular made us so glad we went to try out this new nursery! But then, what a pity when we got inside to pay for the many things that we bought: the 2 women at the Cash desk (one older, "assisted" -- egged on -- by a younger one in her late 20's early 30s) acted very mean-spirited with regard to our Groupons: they rang all our items in at full price despite the sale prices that were posted right on the items -- they said we had to miss out on the sale prices if we use our Groupons. We tried to reason with them, since the sale price signages were clearly placed everywhere, but they insisted that's the deal for Groupons, i.e., no sale prices for Groupon users. We ended up paying full (non-sale) prices for everything that we had picked out, most of which were on seasonal sale for every other customer but not for us (!). Then the older lady said we needed a bag of potting soil which she would charge us now but which we would pick up on our way out to our car; we said o.k., and came home and saw on the receipt that she charged us almost $13 for a bag of potting soil that was selling Everywhere Else for under $7 (same size same kind). This experience at Cedar Rim Nursery left a sour taste in our mouths, so we won't go back there again (although we will remember fondly the outdoor lady who helped us with our trees). About two weeks later, at month end and looking over our purchase receipts, my spouse said "Too bad about the Groupons you bought." What a pity for all of us.
