From Our Editors
The joyfulness is apparent upon arriving at any of the eight locations, where an upbeat staff welcomes guests with chitchat often sprinkled with the word “fabulous.” All locations also serve as gas stations and convenience stores, and the full-service approach lets customers relax in their cars as an attendant pumps the gas for them. Those staying for a car wash can hang out inside the store, where they can pass time watching TV or surfing the complimentary Wi-Fi. Outside, technicians complete thorough washes, as well as perform hand-waxes and detailing services.
Though lighthearted, there’s also a level of conscientiousness to Fabulous Freddy’s approach. The water used in each wash—which only averages out to about 37 gallons—is recycled afterward, either onsite for reuse at the wash or at a treatment plant that readies it for drop-off at Lake Mead. They also look out for the customer, offering free exterior washes to most cars that have been serviced in the last 48 hours and has already been soiled by rain, birds, or a neighborhood food fight.
