About Locklear Vineyard and Winery

Although he worked many different jobs throughout the years, Charlie T. Locklear harbored one secret dream: owning his own vineyard. After plenty of hard work and the help of his two sons, Locklear Vineyard & Winery sees Charlie's dream brought to picturesque life. Here, rows of muscadine grapes await their next life as one of the winery's refined reds and whites. With every bottle they release, the Locklears also make a piece of history; as proud members of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, the men operate one of the only Native-American-owned wineries in the country, and the first in North Carolina.

We enjoyed our wine tasting. The owner was pouring the wine.He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We loved his wine and bought some of each.

Wine was good but the customer service was not great owner had no interest in doing a tasting at all it was really a hi and bye experience would recommend you going to the grocery store to purchase noble sweet and also building was small and down a dirt road in someones back yard owner was not responsive with scheduling a tour
