At Ad Astra Wellness, recipients of "Best Acupuncture via Best of Lawrence 2016, guests can enjoy a variety of holistic wellness services for both mind and body. The staff administers acupuncture, infrared sauna sessions, and BioMats, as well as flotation therapy, where visitors experience a sense of weightlessness in silence.

Float sessions take place in one of three individual rooms with oversized float cabins, private showers, and even hair-drying and makeup stations for post-float freshening up. Their largest cabin is roughly the size of a king bed and stands 7' high, holding 10" of water, ensuring that even claustrophobic clients can enjoy a float session. Flotation therapy may hold a number of benefits, like pain and stress management, physical recovery, and meditation. At the other end of the spectrum, acupuncture services begin with the client in a reclining chair and fully-clothed before small needles are placed below the elbows and knees. Clients then can sleep or relax as the treatment takes effect, which may help assuage chronic and acute pain, stress and anxiety, allergies, and addictions.
