Painted Kanvas, Lawrence

At Painted Kanvas, you don't have to be a great artist to paint a great picture. Classes give students—from children to adults— a chance to recreate an example painting on a blank canvas of their own with the guidance of a professional artist. You'll paint one of more than 150 different scenes, such as a fluffy kitten, a field of sunflowers, a Jayhawk, or a desert cactus at night, depending on the session you choose. Folks who want to strike out on their own can paint a different scene if they want, provided they're o.k. with limited instruction. Guests can revel in a glass of local wine or beer as they create their masterpiece; all events come with paints, a canvas, brushes, an apron, and step-by-step instruction.
