Great brewery fresh beer. The mussels are to die for.

All the regular staff are gone. Huge sign. Chef is the only bright spot. Beer choices extremely lacking. Too dark to read menus. Used to be a regular... Underwhelmed with the changes. Won't be back.

it is a beer joint not a fancy restaurant. Love the mussels!

We placed our order for 2 burgers and an appetizer. After about 10 minutes, the manager came over to tell us that they were completely out of burgers. We ordered the pork sandwich (not that I wanted it), it came and there was very little pork on the sandwich, more bread. Our appetizer hadn't shown up and we were given our meals! Beer selection was good.

Good food, nice bar. May sound silly but if you have a bad back you should sit in the lounge area up front since all seating are stools with no backs.

Great happy hour and Sunday Football specials. Beer is excellent, if you like spicy food try the ghost pepper wings!

it is a really nice place. the evening we dined, they were out of tuna, didn't have the drink my friend wanted & only 2 speciality beers on tap. when they tout themselves as a beer place one would expect to have lots of beers readily available. they were not that busy but service was slllllllow & appetizer came only a minute or 2 before dinner. portions good, food was fine. I would not be rushing back anytime just to eat there. but loved the place & atmosphere

Enjoyed the atmosphere, but they were understaffed and the food was not that great for the price. More variety on the menu would have been nice, a place that specializes in burgers but only has 5 different ones on the menu is ridiculous.

From Our Editors

Though the name might insinuate otherwise, The Beer Joint actually specializes in three things: burgers, bourbon, and, yes, beer. They have so many varietals of the latter two, that all the drinks are divided into three profiles. For bourbon, that's traditional, high-wheat, and high-rye; for beer that's blonds, reds, and bolds, all of which are brewed in the pub's onsite brewery. The burgers are equally varied, and not just in the way of toppings. Some, like the All-American, layer tomatoes, onions, and cheese between sesame-seed buns. Others, like an octogenarian who can slam dunk, are bit more unexpected, like meatball-style sliders on toasted bread, or full-size patties bulked up with suet (beef fat) or Japanese beef. And for those who crave something a little different, The Beer Joint also offers up ribs, wings, and beer-battered mozzarella cheese sticks,
