When you’re a grownup, ice cream and soda no longer define summertime nearly as well as spicy street food and ice-cold beer. Fortunately, Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival fold those two cornerstones of adult-summer into one event at Skylands Stadium, kicking off the season on May 2 with more than 25 food trucks and 75+ craft beers. And when festival-goers aren’t washing down meals with libations in the beer garden, they can put their equilibrium to the test by taking a ride on the mechanical bull or trying their hand at one of the many backyard games, such as adult whiffle ball or volleyball. Of course, it isn’t all about the older crowd—there’ll be activities for kiddos, too, including a bounce house and a pint-sized train.
