About Nature's Table Cooking School

Chef Penni Royston credits nature’s bounty, specifically colorful fruits and veggies, as the inspiration for Nature’s Table Cooking School. A certified Natural Foods Chef, Penni ousts processed junk from recipes and instead uses healthy foods preferred by any serious crafter of edible art. During her classes, chef Penni rounds up a rainbow of ingredients to craft raw dishes, gluten-free fare, or vegan soup and pizza made from scratch. She shifts between demonstration and student participation as she teaches, sending each pupil home with a recipe and a packet of nutritional info so they can calculate how many graves they’ll have to dig in the backyard to burn off the calories.

Nature's Table Cooking school is fabulously fun and delicious! LOTS of good recipe ideas! Chef Penni is just as warm and friendly as she can be. Sadly, think they are only doing private events now. I highly recommend subscribing to her Gluten Free Menus of the Week! Come complete with shopping lists, too.

I didn't know of the school until I saw the group on. I was only able to attend one class, but I was very impressed. The instructor was knowledgeable, helpful, and remained calm amidst all the hustle and bustle of 20 students preparing 40 recipes. The instructor and her assistant had spent a considerable amount of time preparing for our arrival. A glass of wine was poured and served upon arrival, and we were each give an apron to wear. All the ingredients were laid out according to each recipe, and everything was well-organized. The timing was perfect, as everyone completed their recipe within minutes of each other, and all the food was delicious. It was a most enjoyable evening.
