If I purchase a groupon for Studio DeLucca again, it would have to be one of her classes, (something more hands-on). I love my necklace, but wanted a class that took more time. She was hospitable and very friendly , her work is beautiful.

I am hoping another Groupon is done here in 2012. It's a terrific place and I would LOVE a jewelry class Groupon to use to learn how to make jewelry. Wonderful people and I will be going back with or without a Groupon!

Love the cute, quaint studio, nestled in a small neighborhood of stores. Love the idea of being able to make your own necklaces and learn how to design. I tried to stop in 3 times before actually getting to use my groupon on the 4th try; the studio was randomly closed on 'open' days of thurs/fri/sat/sun. Good thing I drive through that neighborhood on weekends from time to time. Best to call them ahead to see if they are open but their phone machine was full when I did call. I only wouldn't return because it was too difficult to guess if they would be open.

I have shopped and taken a variety of classes there over the past two years. The jewelry designs are beautiful and unique and they are happy to customize pieces for you.

Not your typical jewelry store. Custom, crafted, and artifully constructed pieces. Also jewelry making learning center.

the coupon was a little misleading....plus I didn't realize how very expensive your items are. The quality didn't seem to fit the pricing.

I felt it was not a fair offer at all. For $25 you got $50 at their make-a-necklace bar, which consisted of your choice of a few very over-priced necklaces and trinkets to hang which cost from $15 up. I took my middle-school aged daughter and her high school friend, thinking at the very least $50 would cover two nice necklaces. Instead, I left after paying an additional $56 for each girl to get one necklace, with 3 charms each. My daughter's pot metal chain was $15 and the very short, thin silver one her friend selected was $20. Had the friend not been along, I would have walked and saved myself the additional money. It is a jewelry manufacturing place, with only the necklace bar open to retail customers, to my knowledge. The person in the store was curt, busy and I felt, very perfunctory in her help with the girls. I honestly felt like the owners of the shop said hey, we need some more income at Christmas, this will get us some extra dollars. The girls like their "free jewelry", I feel insulted. Groupon needs to check places out before offering on their site. Another experience like this and I will no longer trust Groupon for their deals. (And I have been very satisfied to date with about 6 other offers I have acted upon, mostly restaurants and cosmetic treatments)

Everything about the studio is wonderful. Inviting and artistically beautiful. The jewelry in the shop is stunning. I can't wait to go back and play.

From Our Editors

Tucked away in a refurbished 1940s barbershop, Studio DeLucca founder Khobe DeLucca and her team of jewelers festoon baubles of recycled silver and gold with gems sourced from artisans and fair-labor suppliers. Collections of stackable jewelry, such as amethyst bracelets and turquoise-drop necklaces, add a subtle sparkle to wrists and décolletages. Cocktail rings decorate favorite fingers with stones such as ocean jasper and green chrysoprase, and diamond-paved cigar-band rings exhibit old-world craftsmanship that hearkens back to the sparkling sidewalks of ancient Rome. A workshop series teaches novice lapidaries basic techniques to craft their own necklaces, earrings, and enamel jewelry.
