I really wanted to like this place, because it's close to my house. The decor is bright and welcoming, and the servers were really nice. The food was the worst I've ever eaten at a restaurant. I got the Amalia Plata, to be able to try several things. For $19, the portions were MINISCULE. The chorizo was a 2" piece. The pork adobado was horrible; it was a very small piece of pork, and what wasn't gristle and fat was like chewing shoe leather. The carne asada tasted good, but was also tough. The food came out 2 minutes after I ordered, so it obviously wasn't cooked fresh. The food tasted like it had been sitting. The rice was good. The sauces for the tortilla chips were good, but the tortilla chips were really greasy.
