It'd be easy to assume the most important parts of any indoor cycling class are the stationary bikes themselves, since without those, there really isn't a class. At Beatbike, though, music actually plays a more critical role. Here, each 45-minute class bumps to a custom mix designed to keep riders in sync with the music. Beatbike's playlists were built using beat-per-minute intervals, meaning the music's ebb and flow audibly simulates challenging inclines, rolling hills, and smooth straightaways. Riders instinctively connect with the driving rhythm, unlocking inner strength along the way. Afterward, students gather around Beatbike's juice bar, where they can get a boost of energy by drinking healthy, all-natural drinks instead of just static-shocking each other.
