The hummus, barley soup and shiraz salad were wonderful to start off with. Both the Cali Kabob Combination and the Chicken Koobideh were tender, succulent, and flavorful, complimented wonderfully by the onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers, along with a perfectly cooked mixture of basmati and saffron rice. Abundant portions were provided that were flavorful and tasty. The Persian Ice cream finished the meal off in fine fashion, topping the dinner off with a cool, taste-tempting treat that has to be savored to be appreciated. We look forward to dining at Cali Kabob again soon !

I would not recommend this restaurant. I think the food was very poor quality. It was very expensive and the presentation and taste did not reflect that. They did not have unique recipes and it was quite a dreary atmosphere. You would be better off eating your meal from another restaurant that cook their food fresh for their customers and have special recipes.

Their food is absolutely delicious and service is outstanding. I had the beef koobideh and my husband had the Cali combination # 6, both of which were cooked to perfection. I will be coming back here for sure.

From Our Editors

Inside the softly lit dining room at Grande Polentoni Restaurant, artwork takes the form of multihued plates of chicken kebabs, juicy beef koobideh, rosewater-infused Persian ice cream, and other classic Middle Eastern dishes. But, like a seventh-grader's geography quiz, the menu puts Italy and Persia together, as evidenced by dishes such as spaghetti bolognese in housemade sauce and creamy linguini imperiale. Fresh ingredients—such as tahini, tomato, eggplant, and feta cheese—infuse each carefully crafted entree with shots of vibrant flavor and color.
