From Our Editors
This longtime Hollywood Thai spot is a go-to favorite for savoring both traditional dishes and more exotic fare that ranges from wild boar to quail to frog. The expansive, airy dining room features pretty Thai art and accommodates groups big and small at long, sleek tables. Giant, glowing fish tanks line a side wall, and a stage in back adds a nightclub experience on weekends. A sizeable Thai contingent mingles with Hollywood locals at Palms Thai Restaurant; on weekends one should expect a wait, though service from the handsome young staff is lighting fast. The menu runs pages long but everything – soups, salads, curries, noodles, rice dishes and barbecue - is as authentic as can be. There’s wine and beer in addition to Thai iced tea or honeydew smoothies that go nicely with the popular lunch specials.
