About Vegin' Out

Vegin' Out's executive chef, Brian Patton, knows veganism inside and out. He's written on the topic for The New York Times, and penned an entire cookbook on it, The Sexy Vegan Cookbook: Extraordinary Food from an Ordinary Dude. Even also blogs under the tongue-in-cheek moniker The Sexy Vegan and stars in YouTube videos.

When he's not busy being a vegan celebrity, Brian whips up a rotating selection of vegan dishes at Vegin' Out, ranging from whole-wheat penne with veggies to black bean tamale pie. Customers receive his handiwork in weekly vegetarian and vegan food packages, delivered straight to their homes or offices every Monday. Meals are kept cold in insulated cooler bags with ice packs allowing food to stay fresh even if the client is not home to receive the delivery. A single-meal package yields 9 to 10 meals, and Chef Brian can tailor dishes to gluten sensitivities, allergies, or fears that potatoes with two eyes count as animals.

This was a wonderful experience with good and friendly customer service. The food was delivered promptly in a nice reusable bag and contained everything as described. The food was yummy and wholesome. I enjoyed each dish. My girlfriend had some limitations due to nut allergies, so be aware. Overall, though, high ratings. Definitely one to try again!

I’ll give two stars because the food was well packaged and delivered to my doorstep. I’m also giving two stars because it was a small amount of food and it was not as tasty as I would’ve liked. I also don’t like the menu being preset for the week, with minimal amounts of items to choose from. The food was mediocre to me. I wasn’t impressed. I the tofu was not well seasoned. The soup was not good
