Smog N Run, Los Gatos

They did the smog check but when I presented the Groupon they refused to accept it, claiming that it didn't cover "trucks". But my car is a 2014 Subaru Outback. On my DMV registration it shows it as a "SW" which their site says means "station wagon". The onsite tech insisted it listed as "truck" showing me some other website that did not even reference DMV. The tech was a nice polite young man but he insisted my car was a "truck" based on the site he chose to use. I had to pay full ## to get my paper, then had to have multiple text/email exchanges with the owner/manager where I showed them various documents in support of my point, til they finally relented and refunded my $$. This was total BS!! and waste of my valuable time.

The only man serving me was no help at all . The smog test itself was satisfactory. It was difficult to find the place given the address 601. I was alone driving and no sign was obvious on University Ave.

Great, fast, and efficient! And they even offered me a discount when/if I return! Definitely a place to go.

The inspector, Ugur, was a nice guy and made the process easy. The wait was only about 10 minutes, and the test took maybe another 10 min. They are a bit pricier than other places, but I used a Groupon to save a fair amount, and all future smog tests will be honored at this original amount that I paid as a first-time customer, so I was told. And despite the 95 F weather outside, the waiting area was nice and cool from the AC.
