What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
SharpTop is the only Central Virginia company providing training that is back by the White House TechHire program. We provide nanodegrees, paid apprenticeships, and job placement assistance to help graduates start their careers as software developers.

Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
Students must provide their own laptop computer with internet access. All other course material is provided by SharpTop or is freely available online.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
When I was the hiring manager for a large software team, I could never find qualified applicants. However, I was very successful training inexperienced developers on the job. I founded SharpTop so I could make a positive difference in our community by training the next generation of developers.

What do you love most about your job?
I love the opportunity to give a student hope for a meaningful career and a better future. I also love look of excitement on students' faces when they get their projects to work. It's thrilling!
