Long Blue Cat Brewing Company's owners Jason Knight and Shane Sorenson are proud of their New England upbringing. That's why they're committed to sourcing almost all of their brewing ingredients locally, from the fresh fruits and hops that flavor IPAs to the veggies that top hearty flatbreads served in the brewery's industrial taproom. The draft list varies seasonally and often includes:

  • Latchkey IPA: a drinkable, hop-forward IPA crafted from local New England ingredients (7.2% ABV)
  • Ice Cream Truck Stout: inspired by Neapolitan ice cream, with rich flavors of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate (4% ABV)
  • Klementine Kölsch: a crisp German-style beer that's brewed with fresh clementines (4.2 % ABV)

Went there yesterday, and so glad we did. Found out from staff their last day at this location is July 29th, and they're giving away free hamburgers and hot dogs to celebrate on that date. My husband and I enjoyed our flights (not a disappointment in the bunch), and were delighted with the four-packs we got to take home. Wish I knew about this place sooner!
