What was available was OK, turkey sandwich, tuna sandwich. Have had much better elsewhere, price OK. Quiche Lorraine, as well as veggie were OK. Croque Monsieur was OK. They were out of roast beef and soup selection was minimal. We were very disappointed, store very tight, seniors hogged tables. Nice servers.

Horrible panini's and salad was rotten. When asked to replace it, received the same. Coffee was good. A waste of my time and money as was overpriced as well. Not going back and do not recommend to anyone

Delicious almond croissant; good prices on lunch offerings. I bought food to take out and was satisfied with everything. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Lovely young women wait on you and are so sweet that you don't mind that they're not very experienced. The salads are real fresh and generous, worth their price. I've sampled the baked goods and I'm sure they're excellent. I will definitely remain a customer.

From Our Editors

History repeats itself each day in the Upper West Side, and it's delicious. By 5:30 a.m., bakers arrive at Ansonia: a haven for artists and musicians, and also the home of Margot Patisserie. Here, the bakers fire up their ovens, assemble fresh ingredients, and start to bake cakes, croissants, and pastries using recipes passed down through generations.

By the time customers arrive, the shop smells like a cafe and patisserie straight out of France. The scents of espresso and pastries fill the space, where patrons chat over cranberry scones, pound cakes, and french macaroons. For heartier meals, Margot Patisserie's cooks dream up soups of the day and construct tuna salads and french baguette sandwiches, including a curry chicken sandwich served with curry and house spices.
