About Physique Swimming
With pools spread across more than a dozen locations in New York and New Jersey, Physique Swimming has taught countless adults and kids how to feel confident in the water. Here are a few other ways the schools distinguish themselves:
- Every instructor is Red Cross–certified. Physique's founder, who spent 25 years as a swim coach himself, requires that each of his instructors is certified in lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR.
- Instructors promote a positive atmosphere. They counsel parents on how to help their children feel good about swimming, including teaching parents to never show disappointment if their child isn't mastering a skill right away. They also teach parents not to compare their child to another kid or a mermaid. And when kids finish a swimming level, instructors give them a certificate of completion to remind them that they can achieve their goals.
- They use yoga to teach swimming. In addition to traditional swim classes, Physique offers a water yoga workshop that blends swim lessons with yoga to teach the importance of breath control.

As a adult who was embarassed to have never learned how to swim. They showed great understanding and patience and were extremely accommodating. Thank you very much. You guys were excellent and i strongly recommend them.

I never got to use this groupon because when I emailed them to find out the schedule they emailed me back Please note groupon vouchers are valid for group lessons only. To redeem a groupon please send in the following information for all class participants:
-Full Name
-Phone Number
-Selected class date, location, time
-Groupon voucher numbers, or screenshot of deal.
I only bought 1 groupon for myself. I didn't have a group of people attending so the voucher I got went unused.

The pool and lockerroom Milbank facility felt very skeevie and rundown. Locker and showers are rusty and very old. Which made me want to turn around as soon as I walked in. I thought about turning around, but decided to give it ago since other ppl were in the water and seemed ok. The instructors were very nice, but spoke in a very low tone which was hard to hear at times.
