Very nice food. Small but intimate.
The Red Hen's menu is tailored to the fast-paced lifestyle of New Yorkers, delivering quick, yet refined meals for patrons on their way to work or taking a stroll down 14th Street. Although the cafe puts a premium on quickness and convenience, that doesn't mean it puts little thought into presentation—its soups, salads, and sandwiches look like miniature works of art. For example, The Quack sandwich's brioche bun arrives at tables open so patrons can view the contrast between the slices of crispy duck and the brightly colored cabbage slaw, lettuce, and red onions.
