The City of Maryland Heights Aquaport rivals many private water parks in size and variety of entertainment. Take, for example, the 8,000-square-foot family fun pool, complete with bubblers, sprinklers, and fountains, and the expansive lazy river, which could totally be a lake if it tried harder. Other attractions are built to summon up a little adrenaline. The tube slide shoots thrill-seekers through total darkness, and the flume slide exhilarates guests with sharp turns and twists. The Extreme Bowl provides the most thrills, dropping riders straight downward into a funnel-shaped bowl; they spin in ever-smaller circles until they slip out the bottom and splash into the pool below.
