Ashley Wentzel, a former Division I soccer MVP, and Jared Alexander, an avid athlete and business-school graduate, combined their industry savvy and passion for physical health to cofound Star Fitness Solutions. As an ACSM-certified personal trainer, Wentzel works as the chief fitness offer, harnessing positive energy and exercise know-how to rally and push her students in Star's boot-camp and small-group training programs. Certified trainers also helm sports-performance and personal-training sessions, relying on more focused routines to reshape physiques based on each client's desire to first throw and then crush a basketball. By building a rapport with their trainees, the team at Star Fitness avoids the detached atmosphere of giant gyms and hopes to successfully inspire lifestyle changes for lasting wellness.
