About VR Playland

At VR Playland, stepping inside a favorite video game is as easy and putting on a hat—or, in this case, a headset. At this virtual reality playground, guests slip on a next-generation Oculus Rift headset, which is equipped with ultra low-latency 360-degree tracking technology, allowing players to look around the video game world the same way they would glance around the real world. Players can immerse themselves in popular games including Minecraft, World of Warcraft, Half Life 2, and Battlefield 4, and a multi-player setup allows them to play with up to nine other virtual gamers, presuming each player has only one head.

VR Playland is not very easy to find. It is housed in a building that perhaps used to be a private residence and then a daycare center. There are signs but they are small ones, like you would use for a garage sale. It is on the East bound side of Virginia, almost to Coit.

Located at a Montessori school. Staff worked well with the children. Seem to be in a start-up mode and experienced several glitches in their programs but my two gamers loved it.
