Rude customer service. Made smart comments the whole time. She was very unprofessional. She treats groupon customers like garbage. Every time I have called to make an appointment the wait time would be months out. I felt very disrespected and I will never go there again. Women look forward to getting there nails done and it is supposed to be a relaxing treat for yourself, well she ruined my experience. AND my shellac manicure chipped the next day.

She was very short, snippy, acted like she was in a bad mood. I don't know how she expects her business to grow when she's not polite and nice to customers! I definately would not return and have shared my experience with many coworkers and friends!

Lauren scales was very rude, late opening her salon and tried to get me to not get the complete service . She wanted me to reschedule for Sept. I waited 7 weeks for this appointment. I am a frequent groupon customer and have never had a negative review. Downright Rude!

Lauren Scales is an excellent nail tech. She takes the time and gives care to your skin. She makes the environment relaxed. I know she'll do great in her new location & I wish her the best!

This was a pretty disappointing experience. The location was extremely hard to find as there was no external signage or internal signage once I actually found the unmarked building. I then waited 22 minutes while the person there was on the phone trying to get her internet fixed. The space was cramped, dark, and the personnel not very friendly. I definitely will not be recommending this place to anyone I know.

She was rude on the phone and very unfriendly, almost hostile, when I went to get my nails done. Maybe she was overwhelmed with the groupon and having so many discounted customers, but in that case she should not have offered the groupon if she didn't want to do it! Maybe if she was friendly to the new people who came in, she would have gotten some new regular customers but not the way she acted. I was legitimately looking for a new regular salon, but I will not go back there again. In contrast, I got a discount on another salon on facebook, went there and found them to be very friendly and professional and I have started going there every week.

From Our Editors

Nail technician Lauren Scales loves beauty, but as a customer, she never found a salon she truly enjoyed. So she founded her own. Lauren’s first order of business? Build a place where customers can easily communicate their needs. Lauren was dissatisfied with the assembly-line-style pace she'd observed elsewhere because it made it nearly impossible to describe to the technician what you were looking for. At Graffiti Nail Bar, she makes sure to take the time to figure out what the client wants. This may be freehand nail-art portraits of Nikola Tesla, long-lasting gel or Shellac, patterned Minx designs, or simply a soothing mani-pedi made luxe by body butter. In fact, the butters, lotions, and soaps are all handmade by Lauren, are vegetable-based and free of synthetic oils, and are available for purchase in the in-house boutique that also offers earrings.
