About Dragonfly Studios of New Milford
Mark Tomascak took an interest in glass two decades ago, and he's been scoring, soldering, and etching the material ever since. At Dragonfly Studios, he crafts pieces such as stained-glass windows and colorful glass lampshades, depicting everything from skiers to flowering vines. He also etches custom designs into glass, drawing on techniques he perfected while training in Santa Fe.

Marcus was knowledgeable about glass work in many forms and I learned a lot from the experience

I assumed this "class" would be held in an actual studio - we were asked to come to a shop located in the basement of the owner's home. It was dark, cluttered, and uncomfortable given that you had to walk through the owner's house to use a bathroom. When I arrived, he also made an inappropriate comment that I "looked like his kind of woman" despite the fact that he was certainly old enough to be my father. All that aside, while the class itself was informational, we asked specific questions regarding how the jewelry would turn out and the pieces did not meet expectations. The jewelry was not at all what we were expecting, not to mention the man took 2 months to mail the items out (after i called 5 times and emailed twice to follow up).... AND he charged us $20 in cash for postage (the postage stamp showed a $5 charge upon receipt...). When my friend called to let him know our concerns, he said " I don't know what to tell you".... "I'm sorry" would go a long way buddy, and perhaps nor hanging up on your customers.

My daughter & I had an excellent time learning the beautiful craft of Stained Glass! Marcus was incredibly patient and very client focused! Will definitely be going back for more advanced classes!
