I moved to Stratford and was looking for a new place to get my nails done. I saw a Groupon and thought I would give then a try. I went in Wednesday evening the woman doing my nails was very nice, but, they did not have glue to fix broken nails, this was the reason I wanted a manicure in the first place. My French Tips were already chipping by the next day. I went back to the saloon Saturday am, before I left for my formal event in Hartford to show the condition of my nails. I was asked could I go get them done somewhere else and next time I got my nails it would be free. I paid extra for French manicure. When I called to make an appointment I was told that it would not be free I would have to pay again. I would never go back. It was a waste of money and time.

Nail polish was old - not that many colors to choose from. Would not recommend!

There is not a nail saloon! They have a make-shift table & patron sits on a chair. It took great amt of time to get everything rigged up or in place for nail treatment. It"s not clean.

The owner was very nice, but she did not give me what I asked for. Everything started out fine and seemed very promising, but she left my foil highlight on without setting a timer, walked away, and didn't check on how it was coming up at all. After what seemed like a very long time (I was looking around for her or someone to ask about her and she was no where to be found. Not sure if she was on a lunch break or with another customer in another room, but it definitely felt as if she forgot about me!), she came back and immediately took me to the sink without ever checking if I was done or not. I asked for blond with no red (even showed her a photo of me with what I wanted) and what I got was brown with red and light brown, what she called "Low lights." When it came time to cut my hair, she was talking to another customer as she cut my hair. She cut layers into the back after I had said I had been growing the layers out over the past year. She also cut more area of bang than I had previously or that I wanted. I wanted my bang whispy but got blunt and solid. She never asked if the length of the bangs were good or not, but proceeded to put a few different products in my hair to tame down the frizz (I had told her that my head was sensitive and that I didn't use any leave-in products, but she convinced me that she used that mousse on everybody and it was good to smooth the hair down). I also paid for a full head of highlights, but when I went home and looked, there were very very few on the sides and almost none in the back and it was very brown and blah. I also had to re-cut my bang length and the area around my face the next day. Unfortunately, there was nothing I could do about the layers she had added, other than to wait again for them to grow out. When I dried my hair, they stuck out like wings on the side of my head and took some time to grow back in and look normal again. I was contemplating calling back to talk to her about coming in to adding more highlights because there just wasn't enough and I was totally unsatisfied with the resulting color and cut. However, when I washed the product out of my hair, I realized the texture of my hair had drastically changed due to overprocessing (I've been getting this done for years, and I know what my hair should feel like after a highlight) and to have her try to "fix" it would only make it worse. I'm not sure what happened that day, but I did go home and read a review that she didn't use a timer on another customer. She seemed like a nice person, but needs a refresher course on color, especially using bleach, and should pay better attention during consultations and when she is actually cutting the hair.

I think you might be confused as to who did your hair. I do not take groupon clients. It is to your benefit to at least reach out to the salon so we can do something for you if you were not satisfied. It sounds like you had previous color in your hair which puts your application in a different approach. Conditioning treatments are always recommended after a color service
