Luna Rossa Restaurant Pizzeria, Milford

Christopher Karangis has been in the pizza business for more than 30 years. In fact, he once moonlighted at Roma Pizza, which he since purchased, renovated, and reimagined into Luna Rossa. This rustic Italian eatery—complete with exposed-brick walls and checkered red table cloths—serves up classic Old World dishes ranging from caprese salad and broccoli rabe to shrimp scampi and fettuccine Alfredo. Perhaps its highlight, though, is its selection of specialty pizzas. The Luna Rossa pizza, for instance, combines ham with salami and pepperoni as well as provolone cheese and roasted peppers.
