This was our 1st time sailing and it was an awful experience, which ended with the sailboat crashing into the breakwater rocks and requiring a mayday rescue by another boat having to tow the sailboat back to the marina. According to our instructor Jackson the winds were heavy "black flag " no other sailboats were on the lake except for 1 other sailboat also from the community sailing center. After we were given an explanation that the second sail would provide greater wind power and the sail was raised, he lost control of the boat and crashed us into the rocks ! This was absolutely a horrifying experience and I feel that our safety was jeopardize. Also we received a very insincere apology
