Origami Uptown, Minneapolis

Long named one of Minneapolis' best sushi spots, Origami Uptown has the accolades to prove it with consistent appearances in America's Top Restaurants by Zagat Survey. It's no surprise, however, given the artistic designs and sumptuous flavors of its dishes. For example, its Never Ending Summer roll wraps crunchy tempura asparagus and yellowfin tuna in colorful avocado, shiso leaf, and sushi rice. Japanese dishes also pepper the menu, like the Nabe Yaki Udon, which serves udon noodles, mushrooms, and shrimp tempura in a mellow broth inside a hot ceramic pot. Dishes are further enhanced with items from an extensive drink menu, including hot sake and imported beers, while the sleek interior adorned by hanging sculptures makes dining here an experience.
