About Art Music & More
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We select teachers with the best combination of education and experience available.
For instance, our cello teacher has a Master's Degree in Music and is the principle cellist of the Texas Medical Center Orchestra and our voice teachers all have Bachelor's Degrees or Master's Degrees in Music, train students for competition, and one even has twenty years experience with Houston Grand Opera. The studio owner is a 39-year veteran guitarist with formal training, a 35-year veteran guitar teacher, and has a degree in music and a music business certification.
Our teachers are famous for working together to form a cohesive community of educators whose goal is the success of each student. They are quick to help each other and help each others' students. When you join our studio, you become part of a community dedicated to a fun, productive learning experience.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring? Most course materials and accessories are available for purchase at our location. Some instruments are available for purchase. Students are responsible for bringing their instruments and materials to each lesson.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? The owners, David and Margaret Peterson Harvey, own a recording studio and media production studio in Pearland, Texas, where they also enjoy teaching students of all ages. The opportunity to bring together a group of like-minded, professional musicians and teachers, dedicated to caring for others and spreading the joyful learning of music was a dream come true.
What do you love most about your job? The most exciting thing about being a teacher at Art Music & More is seeing students develop from a tenuous beginning to becoming talented and skilled musicians. With the growth in ability also comes a personal growth for each student, an experience that each teacher is excited and happy to share.
