The only downside is the way memberships are organized. There is a fairly substantial sign on fee, a 70 odd dollar per family membership that must be automatically withdrawn from a bank account with , if i remember correctly a 2 month notice for cancellation. We used to be members but left when we were told that we could not take a 3 month leave without having to pay new member fees over again. We had been members for between 1 and 2 years and had to travel across country to help my father inlaw recover from a stroke.

we like the Y, especially how close to home ut is and how many different types of classes/programs offered. Wish it was more affordable and we didn't akways have to file financial aid paperwork.
