Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum, Mount Pleasant

In its space of 12,000 square feet, the Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum engages children of all ages and supports hands-on learning. Helping kids explore through self-directed learning, this museum hosts almost a dozen exhibits of role-playing and physical interaction. And, to root itself deeper in its community, it contains two community rooms for parties and events.

• Beemazium: Children crawl through honeycomb-shaped tunnels and learn about real honey bees, observing them in their hive.
• One World: An interactive dive into the culture of Japan; write haikus and make sushi.
• Farmers Market: Kids practice math skills as they learn how to buy produce and budget.
