Showed up for dinner theater. Turns out that the Groupon only purchased the theater. The dinner was another $18 per person. The food was all right. I didn't apparently read about Salty Dinner Theater too much. The show, Phantom, was not even close to the storyline of the original. I'm all for creativity, so the deviation wasn't a huge problem that way. It was a comedy of their own design, loosely using characters from Phantom. I laughed quite a bit in the first act. The second half, however, lacked any interesting story, instead just setting each actor up for an opportunity to sing karaoke-quality 80s songs with their own lyrics. The "story" was simply a contest to become the next Phantom through a series of songs being sung. It was a miss for me. I probably won't return.
