About Dolphin Water Tours of Naples

Dolphin Water Tours' signature excursion, The Dolphin Safari, begins when guests board a boat named the Sand Dollar. They set sail to seek out the dolphins that frolic in Naples Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Along the way, tour-goers may encounter other coastal creatures among the mangroves, such as manatees, bald eagles, ospreys, and Seabiscuit, the world-famous seahorse.

The company's other cruises hew to a similar itinerary. The four-hour Sun, Sand & Surf trip, however, also folds in a few hours of sunbathing, swimming, and relaxing on a mostly deserted island. On the BYOB sunset cruise, on the other hand, guests can sip beer and wine while spying dolphins silhouetted against the sinking sun.

James, the captain and Roy the historian gave us a lot of information about St Augustine. It was a fun cruise. We did see a few dolphins.

I tried calling twice, left a message, and emailed. In response, I only received automated messages. After a medical emergency involving an immediate family member, no one in my party of four was available to use the tickets. I called and emailed one or two days ahead of time to cancel that tour and received the automated message we were rebooked on the next boat. I did not see that message timely. I called again a few days later to find out how to transfer my tickets to another group on a later date without loosing two tickets since I was not a "no show." I did not receive a callback. The lack of human touch in this company is frustrating under any circumstance, but particularly in this case.

Parking may be an issue due to prior boat tours, plan ahead and please don't be late
