About American Photo Safari

Rather than teach you to navigate camera buttons and menus inside a stuffy studio, American Photo Safari takes students of all skill levels on an adventure where they learn to photograph while touring historic parts of New Orleans. As small groups stroll on foot through the French Quarter or past the Garden District's mansions and aboveground cemetery, local professional photographers teach students one-on-one how to capture stunning images using any type of camera. Sessions last 2.5 hours, though American Photo Safari also offers a 4-hour version of its French Quarter tour.

I have enjoyed photography as a hobby for more than 25 years. I learned more about my camera and composition in this short class than I had in the last 25 years. Natasha was patient and fun to be with. At no time did I feel rushed. She knew photography and the city and shared both with our small group, each one with different equipment and varying levels of experience. I wouldl like to take additional classes. A very enjoyable class....a very enjoyable day!!

Had a great time! Natasha was a wonderful tour guide and my pictures will be much better in the future. Would definitely do this again and recommend to others.
