What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
At NOLArts Learning Center, kids get creative AND skill-focused therapy. We engage kids with special needs (including autism, Downs, ADHD etc.) through creative arts, while using behavioral techniques to work on specific skills like fine motor control, expressive language and social engagement.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
We provide all art materials used in sessions, including paint, canvas, mosaic tiles, etc.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
After studying both art therapy/music education and Applied Behavior Analysis, we launched NOLArts Learning Center in order to combine focused learning and creative expression.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing young people with challenges develop skills, friendships and self-confidence. And, of course, watching kids enjoy themselves with art!
