Sometimes the idea is bigger than the one who came up with it. When RootSuit founder Colin Grussing realized in 2008 that nobody was specializing in full-body spandex suits, he knew he had found his true calling. Today, the otherworldly costumes are an increasingly popular way to show your team loyalties, stand out at a party, or blend in at a modern-art museum. They have even been worn by Shaquille O'Neal and have a tendency to get on TV during sporting events.

In addition to RootSuit's range of solid colors, they also offer patterned suits that include glowing versions and camo prints. The patriotic flag suit might be complemented with a heroic blue cape; other accessories include a neon-lit tie and flashing LED gloves.
