This is an honest review. Hopefully, I could submit photos and you guys can judge for yourself. I was excited to find this place on Groupon as all the reviews were nothing but wonderful. I did not know that I was in for a nightmare. My birthday was August 16, which was the same day as my appointment. I had dinner reservations later on that night and was looking forward to my new cut & color. Once it was my turn to sit in the I showed her a picture of the exact color that I wanted. Instead of reassuring me that she would get close to the color that I wanted it her response to me was “I don’t know if you’re going to get that color” Because it depends how many shades your hair can lighten with the bleach. Obviously, I know that that in order to Achieve the color that I wanted I needed a toner after bleaching. It’s not my first time getting color in my hair .She told me the toner would be an additional charge which I didn’t care. It was my birthday and I wanted that color. She kept insisting that I wasn’t going to need the toner. I don’t know why if she was getting paid for it. After the coloring was done, I couldn’t tell because the hair was still wet. So she told me the blow drying wasn’t included in the price of the $146 of coloring cut which was OK. I told her to go ahead and blow dry my hair. Once the hair was blow dried, I realized that it was not the color that I showed her in the picture. Also, I want it balayage look it was clear as they in the photo I showed her that’s what I paid. She clearly gave me highlights which I’m hoping to include a photo of my hair, leaving the salon as well as the photo that I showed her from the picture. Not even close, the style that I was expecting. Considering that I had to pay to blow dry my hair and additional charge at this point, I was already frustrated and decided I would go somewhere else for them to tone my hair. But it gets worse after the coloring I told her I wanted the butterfly haircut. I waited a whole year for my length to grow. I asked her if she can see a 30 second video bc the previous person I went to messed up my haircut last year because they refused to watch the video and said they knew what they were doing. Her response was, she didn’t need to watch the video to just show her the picture of the style. She completely brushed me off as a pain, client . I proceeded to show her the style that I want Even though she refused to watch the video to cut it correctly, because she didn’t want to watch the video she ended up giving me regular layers, which is not what I wanted . Overall, I wasn’t happy with my look after spending over $222. This included the Groupon tax additional for the blow drying. She blowdried my hair straight instead of accenting the layers l Color was wrong. She cut more length and she was supposed to and she didn’t even style it the way I wanted it. She still received 20 tip for crappy job bc it wasn’t about trying to get out of tipping her she just didn’t listen to any of my requests. She is Not trained for the updated new looks.
