What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
SelfWorks is a group private practice located in the Flatiron district NY. Our licensed psychologists and social workers are dedicated to helping individuals become their most fulfilled, wise and effective selves.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I wrote a story for Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul that connected with young readers. That experience taught me that connecting with our inner voice allows us to deepen our relationships with others in a meaningful way.

What do you love most about your job?
I love watching people get hooked on meditation! Once you're hooked, daily practice leads to great things: Improved health • Reduced ruminations • Enhanced focus • Emotional well-being • Less self-criticism • Creativity • Resiliency • Compassion • Effective decision-making • Confidence

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
A customer wrote a poem for me called "An Atmosphere of Change". It was about the safety and comfort of our space and its ability to promote authentic, long-lasting change.
