Cameron our waiter was very good and should be complimented on his superb customer service. Both of our rack of lamb were a little tough and chewy not tender. Good size portions. Every thing was great except the quality of the meat.

Good food and quantities. The GST and Niagara Falls taxes were unexpected.

I have always gone to the Beef Baron for prime rib, and the price has really increased. The value is no longer worth it and I seriously doubt that I will be returning there. I have gone there for at least 20 years, and now they have lost me as a customer. I had the garlic mashed potatoes with my prime rib, and they were covered in black pepper, and it made them undesirable. I used to love their potatoes, as they were usually hot and tasty. It would be fine it you love your food coated in pepper, but the pepper detracted from them. There were also about a handful of slivered carrots, and carrots are cheap, and there were hardly any on the meal, with one broccoli flowerette only. I would say that they used between the two meals just a half of a carrot. I thought this was a very meagre portion for the vegetables. The prime rib was good though and that is what I go there for. The other diner had the baked potato, and that was covered in salt, and it was not all eaten as it was too salty. The chef at the Beef Baron needs to learn how to use spices properly. I have purchased many groupons in the past for the Beef Barron, but I do not think I will purhase any more, as there are plenty of restraunts that can do prime rib at a more reasonable cost. I used to also go to the Beef Baron before they were offering the Groupons, and thought it was an added bonus when the Groupon was offered at the Beef Baron, and in the past, you were able to have anything off the menu, and with the Groupon, they have changed it to a prix fix menu, and that is not a drawing card for me. I also redeemed my Groupon that expired April 24, and the staff were confused about using it and told me that I could not as they would not get paid. I told the wait staff to please check it out with the manager, as the $59 value that I paid for it never expires. That was rectified without much problem. One thing, during the winter months, the restaurant hours are greatly reduced, and it made it more difficult to redeem. When they are being offered, it should be made quite clear that the restaurant is only open for I think 3 or 4 days only, and closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and I think also Thursday. That is their right to decide when they are open, but it should be stated up front. They always had me as a loyal customer, but not any longer.

From Our Editors

Beef Baron attempts to make diners feel like the beef and oil barons of days past with its menu of sumptuous surf ’n’ turf fare, high-backed booths, cherry-wood-covered walls, and vaulted ceilings. Forks dig into hand-carved prime rib aged 40 days and lobster tail with drawn butter as patrons twirl their imaginary handlebar moustaches and talk about the market crash of aught seven. After dinner, of-age diners can head to Blush Ultra Lounge, where they flit through two stories, drinking and dancing to pulsating beats.
